Here is a photo of a lost photo I found in a hedge in Auckland on the 29th February. I think its really pretty, and looks like it captured a nice moment between a good bunch of pals. I’m trying to work out what beach its from, it looks like a good place for a paddle. I reckon it would be nice to start a tradition of leaving photos in hedges for other people to find and make up stories about.

This was taken at the end of the day when I came in from work. It was my 26th birthday 2 days previously and I hadn’t finished all the washing up from my tea party (hence the cake stand). I finished the washing up before going to bed. Tired but happy.

Gráinne – Ireland

March 30, 2012

It was taken backstage before the first evening show of the Jerome Hynes One Act Play Series. It’s the set, props and costume for my friend’s play “3rd Time Lucky”, a surreal script that owes a little to Samuel Beckett but is much, much funnier. It went on to win Best Production on Friday night and make me very proud of all those involved. Look out for it on tour in Ireland, this summer!

Ariella – Israel

March 29, 2012

My name is Ariella  and this is my contribution to the Feb. 29th Project, which I thought was such a cool idea…
I am sending this photo I took yesterday, at my house, just outside Jerusalem, Israel.
( oh, and I’ll be a 28 year old woman in a few days)
I wanted to take a photo outside, but it was raining so hard, I had to stay indoors and look for something nice inside, instead.
I found this crystal, and I liked the thought of all the light it had “hiding” in it.

I had taken a couple of photos, looking out of my window for the project and then got ready to go to work. At that point my jacket caught the inside of my nose and caused a small but significant cut and my nose started bleeding. Everything else stopped and I rushed to the bathroom to stem the flow of blood. The resulting photo was me lying on the bed waiting for the blood to clot. The camera was beside me so I just picked it up and took a self portrait. It is certainly not flattering, but an event of the day.
